We Support Parents, Too
Supporting a teen shouldn’t mean figuring everything out on your own. WYD works alongside parents and caregivers through regular check-ins, open communication, resources, and guidance. Whether your family is navigating school concerns, peer pressure, bullying, social anxiety, changing behaviors, or simply the challenges that come with adolescence, we want you to know you have support too.
When Your Teen May Need Extra Support
Parents often notice the changes before anyone else. If your teen is struggling with confidence, friendships, peer pressure, bullying, emotional regulation, school, communication, or preparing for adulthood, WYD is here to help. We provide mentorship, guidance, and real-world support while keeping parents and caregivers connected along the way.
Parent FAQs
How do I know if WYD is right for my teen?
WYD may be a good fit if your teen could benefit from additional guidance, encouragement, positive role models, life-skills development, or a safe space to grow in confidence. Your teen does not have to be struggling to benefit from mentorship—sometimes they simply need another supportive person in their corner.
What ages does WYD serve?
WYD primarily supports teens ages 13–18 through mentorship, life-skills development, confidence building, emotional wellness, and future-readiness experiences. Programs and opportunities may vary based on age, individual needs, and availability.
How are parents and caregivers involved?
Parents and caregivers are an important part of the WYD community. We believe supporting a teen works best when families are informed and connected. Depending on the program, we may provide check-ins, updates, resources, guidance, and opportunities to communicate about your teen’s progress and needs.
What happens after I contact WYD?
After you reach out, a member of the WYD team will connect with you to learn more about your teen, your family’s needs, and the type of support you’re looking for. We’ll discuss available programs, mentorship opportunities, and next steps to determine the best fit. There’s no pressure—our goal is to make sure your family feels informed, comfortable, and supported.
